State Convention Results

This last weekend there were around 2000 rabbits entered, with 155 of them being Dutch. My Dutch didn't do so great, but that was expected.
My little Black jr doe Aurora managed to get a 2nd out of 17 on Saturday. The judge went back and forth between her and the first place rabbit a bit. The judge on Sunday didn't like her as much, she was 8th of 17 then. On Sunday, Revolver was 3rd of 13. The judge on Saturday didn't like him though, placing him very low in the class. I couldn't find all of my comment cards, so don't have everyone's placings, but those were the two big ones.
Congrats to the winners. On Saturday, Jean was BOB with a really nice Black buck. Hilary & Lisa were BOS, not sure with what. On Sunday Pete was BOB with a Blue doe (that got a few looks on the BIS table!), with Jean winning BOS with the same Black buck.
Silver Martens did quite a bit better.

BOS/BOV Blue- Robin (7th leg)

2nd of 7- Rainy

Congrats to Maryann for her BOS on Saturday. She has a really nice Blue jr doe coming up. We sold both Riddle and Joker. We are a small rabbitry (limit of only 10 SM), and decided to go with Marten and Pasha as herd bucks over them. However, we did breed both before leaving, and have litters out of them due this week. Riddle now lives in Montana, and Joker lives over in Port Townsend.
I also sold four Dutch. Rascal and Eva left to go to Oregon. I sold a Black jr buck to a girl also from Oregon. Then a Blue jr doe went to Canada.
I got a new doe from Lloyd, Trelawn Ruby D. This is a really nice doe, that I really liked when she was younger. She is a RGC with 4 legs, and a Reserve in Show. Even though she's 3 years old, she's still a gorgeous doe. She's really deep. Her sire is Bazooka. She is currently bred, however Lloyd doesn't think it took. I'm planning on breeding her to first Bentley, then Bazooka.
Next show is July 12th. I will be the registrar at it, and a back up judge. Nicole and I will be showing 3 Silver Martens. Not sure on how many Dutch yet...
